Dry eye relief – mixed messages?

Individual vials – to reuse or not to reuse for dry eye relief?

The Journal of Ocular Pharmacology and Therapeutics have released a study worth noting for people who use eyedrops for dry eye relief.

They have claimed that there is a risk of contamination of Refresh Plus if the vials are used more than once. This also indicates a possibility of implications for other single-dose vial products.

Generally, to be fair, the company who makes the product or medication for dry eye relief covers themselves by (quite clearly) saying the vials should be used once, and then discarded. The thing is, much more than one uses worth is portioned for each vial. It’s almost like we are given mixed messages…? They give you enough for a couple of say’s worth, but tell you to use them only once. I personally used to use my vials more than once (its cheaper that way!) and then I just made sure I kept it away from dust, sunlight and anything else that would cause it to become harmful on application.

I am not going against what the drug companies are saying, and Im not telling you to ignore their instruction either! …I’m just personally sharing with you how I used to use the products in my own journey to dry eye relief.
